The Facts:
Bailey developed a love of natural history which led him into photography. Suffering from undiagnosed dyslexia, he experienced problems at school. In 1959 he became a photographic assistant at the John French studio before being contracted as a fashion photographer for Vogue magazine in 1960. Capturing the swinging 60’s with Terence Donovan, they found themselves elevated to celebrity status among actors, musicians and royalty.

Bailey was married four times and is known as one of the first celebrity photographer.
