Epson supports FEP European Professional Photographer of the Year Awards
Epson have announced its continued support of the Federation of European Photographers (FEP) European Professional Photographer of the Year Awards. The awards are open to all professional photographers with European residency. The aim is to promote and raise the standards of the photographic profession whilst giving deserved recognition to leading professionals in the field. The winning images will be printed by Epson for an exhibition at the Photo Museum of Antwerp and in other major cities throughout Europe.
The competition comprises of three categories: Social, Commercial and Pictoral. Four awards will be presented: FEP Social Photographer of the Year, FEP Commercial Photographer of the Year, FEP Pictoral Photographer of the Year and the overall FEP European Professional Photographer of the Year.
Following an initial first round, which was dedicated to the Qualified European Photographers (QEP), the second round is now open and free of charge to all members of FEP member associations. For all other professional photographers who wish to enter there is a nominal fee of 30 Euros. The prestigious competition is entirely web based with signup, hosting and judging carried out online at www.europeanphotographers.eu. Winners will be awarded a crystal FEP trophy.
The awards are open for entry up to 15th November 2009, with the winners having their images printed by Epson and exhibited at the Photo Museum of Antwerp, Belgium from 4th December 2009 to 10th January 2010. The winners will be announced at a ceremony to be held at the Photo Museum of Antwerp on 17th December 2009. The exhibition of winning images will then be displayed at venues throughout major European cities.
