Panasonic announce new microSD cards

Panasonic

Panasonic today announced the introduction of the company’s new microSD cards with Class 10 speed specification. The new microSD will have approximately two times higher read/write speed capabilities than conventional models.

The new 4 GB, 8 GB and 16 GB microSD cards will be available from April 2011

With the recent expansion of smart phones and tablet PCs, there is a growing demand to download and enjoy the latest contents from mobile devices. Panasonic’s new microSD cards with high data transfer speed will meet this need as back-up memory, allowing users to smoothly move large amounts of contents, such as e-books and videos to the microSD cards on their mobile devices. With Class 10 speed specification, these cards also provide stable video recording with smart phones, which have advanced camera functions.

The new cards are also equipped with the “Proof 5” feature: Water-, Shock-, Magnet-, X-ray- and Temperature-proof, making the cards reliable under mobile use. The new cards will be available in 4 GB (RP-SM04GEE1K), 8GB (RP-SM08GEE1K and 16GB (RP-SM16GEE1K)
