Call for applications: Standpoint Futures resedencies for visual artists

Standpoint Futures is a residency programme for regional UK artists, providing high-calibre opportunities for discussion and interaction with the London art world. They support artists who are making a reputation in their region to spend time in London to make a significant impact on their practice and/or career without the need to relocate. They promote a dynamic and interactive network between London and Regional UK art world, working with artist-focused institutions across the UK.

Applications for 2012 are now open. Standpoint Futures will select one artist from Scotland, one artist from Wales and two artists from England.

Artists will spend 4 weeks working at Standpoint Gallery and Studios in East London. In 2012 the residencies will run from September to December.

Alongside studio practice the residency offers a tailored programme of professional and practice development opportunities including studio visits from leading artists, curators and thinkers, gallery visits, a public talk and presentation.

Deadline for applications: Monday 25 June 2012 at 5pm
Interviews: to be held at Standpoint on Monday 16 July
Entry fee £15.00
Selection is by panel including G39, Peacock Visual Arts, Workplace, Grand Union and Standpoint
