Photography Monthly’s publisher Archant Ltd, are looking for a new trainee photographer in Stevenage, St Albans or Welwyn Garden City.

Archant are looking for a photographer to work on our three Hertfordshire titles, The Comet, The Herts Advertiser and the Welwyn Hatfield Times Series, including the Times Magazine.

Applicants will have some photographic training and NCTJ or equivalent photographic qualifications are preferred. Saturday working is an integral part of the role.

A full, clean driving licence is essential.

All applicants must demonstrate creative digital photographic skills and knowledge of industry trends, be able to produce short video footage, understand the importance of picture and video and their ability to enhance editorial content both in print and online and demonstrate computer software skills. Applicants must also demonstrate competence in verbal and written communication skills.

Candidates should understand and work to editorial policy and the house style of the paper and must also comply with the PCC Code of Practice, making sure stories are accurate and legally safe.
