I've got an imac computer, which I am not pleased with. It is dual core, but runs slower than my old emac. It also doesnt give as good image quality on the screen. Is it just mine, or does anyone else have problems with theirs? cj

Hiya Caroline my son has an iMac 2Ghz 20" and it seems quick enough although I haven't tried photo editing on it so cannot really say... however if you nip over to www.avforums.com and click on to the computers forum there is a dedicated mac section and you WILL get friendly advice there I thoroughly recommend it Cheers Philip

Hi there is no way that a G5 i-mac should be slower than an e-mac.therefore the problem must lie elsewhere 1. Check the power settings and make sure they are not set to power saver which will reduce the cpu speed 2. check activity monitor to see if any application is hogging memory or cpu 3.how much ram do you have? If you ar using PS, Lightroom or Aperture you need a minimum of 2 gig and preferaby 4 gig 4. do not buy memory from Apple!!! A 4 gig kit from crucial £60 Apple £420. Screen have you calibrated the screen this is essential
