Post Subject: 40D to replace 20D

I am considering replacing my Canon 20D with new 40D, the 20D has been my 2nd camera body to the 5D on weddings and portrait work. Any opinions on whether this is a move worth making?

I would suggest getting a second hand 5D instead of the 40D to give you a true equivelant backup. The 40D is a very good camera but not full frame and lower resolution then the 5D.. there are plenty of second hand 5D's about for the price of a new 40D.. (also consider a 1Ds MK1... lots going for around the £8-900 mark second hand.. a LOT of camera for the money)

Hello I would agree with the last reply - go for the 5d instead - its a bargain at the moment and a real classic - I bought a 40d and hated it so much it went straight back. good luck
