CASE STUDY MOT model - Fleur Roose
Model, Fleur Roose has been on the books with the agency MOT for some time now and has a few of her own insights into the industry to share.
Fleur has found it beneficial to have a good working relationship with photographers as, ultimately, they can be the ones to decide if you’ll get a job, or not:
“I’ve got a good relationship with a guy called Simon Powell. If I go to a casting and a client tells me they like a certain image of me, I’ll give Simon’s name, and they usually tend to use him.”
This relationship has not only helped the photographer’s career but Fleur’s too:
“He puts me forward for a lot of jobs too where the client hasn’t been able to cast, or if they’ve gone through a different agency. He’ll say ‘well there is this girl, Fleur, she’s with a different agency. Have a look at her work as she would be great for this’.”
When asked about advice for photographers, Fleur says it’s so important to make a good impression with people, even if you’re having a bad day.
“It’s just as important for a photographer to make a good impression on a model as it is for a model to make a good impression on a photographer. I’ve never had any problems with photographers, but if things did ever get awkward I know I have the backing of my agency, which is a great comfort.”
