The Frame Game

Case Study - Digital Photo Frames At A Glance

A digital photo frame is a colour LCD screen married to a software and hardware core that allows you to display digital images, and sometimes play video and audio. Different image transitions make for professional looking slide shows.

Images are (typically) stored on memory card and frames accept a wide variety of memory card types, some are also able to use USB pen drive memory or have internal memory. With a memory card slotted home the slide show will begin automatically but you can set specifics such as the images to be displayed, the time an image remains on screen and type of transition between the photos; the frame scrolls through the images continuously.
Frames also come equipped with audio speakers to allow slide shows to be accompanied by music of your choice from MP3 music files housed on the memory card.
